Happy Friday!
Students that are isolating at home are expected to complete the work posted in Google Classroom. If they don't, they will fall behind and it will be difficult to get caught up.
Handouts, answer keys, notes, and assignments given during the week are posted on Google Classroom almost every day.
School library: If you would like to borrow new books, be sure to complete the form on Google Classroom this weekend. There will be no class time to order books; students should do this at home. Here is the link to order your library books: Library request form
What can be done at home to improve language and math skills :
- 15 minutes of reading in FLA and ELA (can alternate the days of reading)
- Practice basic facts: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Listens to one (or more) show in French each week: Flip TFO , Tout.TV zone jeunesse , Télé-Québec zone jeunesse
Important notice:
- If you have any old Christmas lights, we could use the wiring for our house project.
- It is strongly advised that students have their own French/English dictionary and a Bescherelle. (I do not have enough paper versions of those kinds of dictionaries for every student in the classroom).
Due Dates:
- Read chapter 14 of City of Ember for Monday (reading comprehension evaluation)
- Math unit test for Monday (Measurements: conversion, perimeter, area, volume, liters, and milliliters)
Marks posted on Power School (to be posted by the end of the week):
- FLA: Rapport de lecture
- Social Studies: Louis Riel, Cordillera Region Test
Week at a glance:
Please check Google Classroom for details on the work done this week.
Enjoy your weekend!
