Yearbook signing!

In Google Classroom, there is a link to Jostens' Yearbook signing page!

Students need to create an account (was done at school this Friday if they were present). 

When students get their link, they copy-paste it to the Google Doc and will be able to access other pages to write messages.  Stay mindful of what you write and where you put it on the page.

Happy last week of school!

School library: Please bring back at school any library book that you might have.

What can be done at home to improve language and math skills during summer : 
Important notice: 

Please bring all your school supplies home by the end of the week.  Keep, at least a pencil and eraser until the end of the week.
  • June 21st: Last full day of school.
  • June 22nd: Half-day - Tractivity day (dress to play outside all morning - good shoes and a hat.  Bring a water bottle and put on sunscreen). 
  • June 23rd: Half-day - normal activities.
  • June 24th: Half-day - Potluck (bring pre-packaged items to share with the class - no more than 15, no homemade).
  • June 25th: Half-day - students bring back all their school supplies and own bin back home.  We will clean up the classroom.

What can be done at home to improve language and math skills : 
Important notice: 
  • Next Wednesday, there will be the last unit test of the year for Social Studies.  Look into Google Classroom for the notes and study guide.
  • Starting next Tuesday, students will present their research about and environmental concerns.  They need to give me or share with me (Google Docs) a copy of their research and share their Google Slides with me before or on the day of their presentation.
  • Remember to work on your homophones (FLA) booklet every day.  

Due Dates: 
  • The science presentation starts on June 8th.

  • Next Monday, students will do a scientific procedure (please refer to the notes for this week in Google Classroom)
  • Next Tuesday, there will be a Math test.
  • It is strongly advised that students have their own French/English dictionary and a Bescherelle.  (I do not have enough paper versions of those kinds of dictionaries for every student in the classroom).

  • Next week, in Science, we will do an experiment with Life Savers.  You don't need to buy any, but if you want to do it with me (I'll do the experiment and show it to the students through the camera), you can.
  • It is strongly advised that students have their own French/English dictionary and a Bescherelle.  (I do not have enough paper versions of those kinds of dictionaries for every student in the classroom).

Due Dates: 
  • Promoting your short story: the presentations start on May 25th. (See Google Classroom for the order of presentation).
  • A comparison of Nunavut and Alberta is due for this Friday.  Please take a look at the rubric in Google Classroom before handing in your assignment.
