April 30th, 2021

 Happy Friday!

Students that are isolating at home are expected to complete the work posted in Google Classroom. If they don't, they will fall behind and it will be difficult to get caught up.

Handouts, answer keys, notes, and assignments given during the week are posted on Google Classroom almost every day.

School library:  If you would like to borrow new books, be sure to complete the form on Google Classroom this weekend. There will be no class time to order books; students should do this at home. Here is the link to order your library books: Library request form

What can be done at home to improve language and math skills :
Important notice:
  • There will be an open book evaluation in math next Monday.  Students can review their notes at home beforehand.
  • It is strongly advised that students have their own French/English dictionary and a Bescherelle.  (I do not have enough paper versions of those kinds of dictionaries for every student in the classroom).

Due Dates:
  • Word of the day due for next Monday (refugee),
Marks posted on Power School:
  • None for now, but a few will be posted next week.
Week at a glance:

Please check Google Classroom for details on the work done this week.

Enjoy your weekend!

What can be done at home to improve language and math skills :
Important notice:
  • Next Wednesday or Thursday (the day with the best weather), students will have a day-long trip where they will walk toward Carburn Park, do different activities and come back to school.  Students need to have good walking shoes, a water bottle, a snack, their lunch, hand sanitizer, and dress in layers. Sunscreen would also be a good addition.  Their backpack will be essential to put whatever they need for that day.
  • It is strongly advised that students have their own French/English dictionary and a Bescherelle.  (I do not have enough paper versions of those kinds of dictionaries for every student in the classroom).

Due Dates:
  • Word of the day due for next Tuesday (kiosk),
Marks posted on Power School (to be posted by the end of the week):
  • FLA: Voyage en Afrique du Sud (comprehension lecture)
