Happy Friday!
Students that are isolating at home are expected to complete the work posted in Google Classroom. If they don't, they will fall behind and it will be difficult to get caught up.
Google Meet code: DTSPoliquin
Online Schedule: Schedule
Handouts, answer keys, notes, and assignments given during the week are posted on Google Classroom almost every day.
School library: If you would like to borrow new books, be sure to complete the form on Google Classroom this weekend. There will be no class time to order books; students should do this at home. Here is the link to order your library books: Library request form
What can be done at home to improve language and math skills :
- 15 minutes of reading in FLA and ELA (can alternate the days of reading)
- Practice basic facts: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Listens to one (or more) show in French each week: Flip TFO , Tout.TV zone jeunesse , Télé-Québec zone jeunesse
Important notice:
- Next week, in Science, we will do an experiment with Life Savers. You don't need to buy any, but if you want to do it with me (I'll do the experiment and show it to the students through the camera), you can.
- It is strongly advised that students have their own French/English dictionary and a Bescherelle. (I do not have enough paper versions of those kinds of dictionaries for every student in the classroom).
Due Dates:
- Promoting your short story: the presentations start on May 25th. (See Google Classroom for the order of presentation).
- A comparison of Nunavut and Alberta is due for this Friday. Please take a look at the rubric in Google Classroom before handing in your assignment.
Marks posted on Power School:
- Math: Geometry test
Please check Google Classroom for details on the work done this week.
Enjoy your weekend!
